Cheryl Luna RN

Cheryl graduated from St Petersburg College in 1996 with her ASN and again in 2015 with her BSN degree. Cheryl started her career on a progressive care unit, shortly after becoming a critical care nurse. She worked as a critical care nurse for 10 years at Tampa General Hospital and St Joseph�s Hospital. Cheryl then had the opportunity to be a critical care international flight nurse for 2 years. Wanting to spend more time with her family, she took a position as nurse manager for 4 years at a 74 bed LTAC facility. During that time, she lost a close family member to cancer which changed the focus of her nursing career to oncology. She worked for 8 years in oncology and hospice at Moffitt Cancer Center. Although she loved working as an oncology nurse, she still had a passion for critical care. Cheryl returned to critical care and continues to work in ICU today. Cheryl also had the opportunity to work as a hyperbaric nurse for 1 year for a multi chamber hyperbaric facility. This was a field of nursing she had never considered in the past but once she had this opportunity, Cheryl found it was an area she thoroughly enjoyed.
